Appendix 1_APPENDIX-1 AA M. T. Hackathon V2.0 Applications
The AA Media Technologies Hackathon V2.0, held in 2024 and marking a first in the field of media technologies, is now open for applications. Sponsored by Ziraat Bank, and organized in collaboration with AA Technology, Anadolu Agency, DIGIAGE, and Bilişim Vadisi, the AA Media Technologies Hackathon aims to produce innovative, game- and gamification-based solutions that will enhance the user experience, increase access, and strengthen engagement on AA’s digital platforms. Participants are expected to redesign the news consumption experience by developing projects that are both creative and technically robust. The online phase of the hackathon will take place from September 15 to October 9. During this process, teams will develop their projects under the guidance of AA’s technical and digital news mentors, as well as DIGIAGE’s game and gamification mentors. Teams that successfully complete the online phase will participate in a 48-hour non-stop in-person development session at the AA International News Center in Istanbul from October 10–12. At the end of the event, the projects will be presented to a jury of experts in the field, and the competition will conclude with the presentation of awards to the top three teams selected as the winners.
